ニューヨーク･タイムズの誤メール騒ぎ

afp通信のニュースでは、

米紙ニューヨーク･タイムズ(New York Times)で28日、購読契約を解除した数人の読者に送られるはずだった「購読料4ヶ月間50％オフ」を案内する電子メールが、誤って860万人に向けて送信されてしまう騒ぎがあった。

と紹介されていますが、今日の朝に受け取ったニューヨーク･タイムズの“Important information regarding your subscription”というタイトルのEmail DM

を読んだ時に、別にキャンセルした覚えがないので不思議に思っていると、もう一つ“CORRECTION: Important information regarding your subscription”というタイトルのEmail DMが来ていて、

 

にて、「先ほど送付のメールの修正とお詫び」がされていました。

なので、それ程の「騒ぎ」という程でもないと思うのですが、860万人に送っていると何人かは問い合わせをしている筈で、それなりにバタバタしたのかもしれません。

ところで、このEmail文ですが、PART7に出そうな英文です。でも、流石にPART7の問題を作る力はないので、PART5の(黄色マーカー部)になりそうな箇所をチェックしてみました。
