今日のニュースではicloudが話題のApple社ですが、

なんていう記事も見つけました。

PDF冒頭のApple for Promotionsで使われている

という表現は、be strictly adhered to の派生形として、いつかTOEICに出るかも(或いは、出ないかも)しれないなんて考えているのは多分私だけだす。

Use of Photography and Product Imageryにおいては、

Only the most current Apple products may be featured.(取り上げるのは最新の製品だけにしてね)

に始まり「ああしなさい」「こうしてはいけません」が延々と書かれていますが、これくらいしないと、勝手な解釈をする人がいるので、止む終えないのでしょう。

でも、Use of Myriad Set Fontの

You may NOT use the Myriad Set font on or in connection with web sites, products, packaging, manuals,or promotional/advertising materials.

については少し行き過ぎのような気がしますし、All Promotional Materials Require Apple's Reviewでは

You must submit all marketing materials related to the promotion of Apple products to Apple for review.

Please provide materials to your Apple account representative with sufficient leadtime to enableApple to complete its review before you begin use of the materials.

から、担当を通じてMKTツール等を提出しろだの、その際は十分に時間を取れだの言っていますし、この場合のreview≒許可/不許可でしょうから、本当に各ベンダーの現場が回ってゆくのかという気がします。

記事の背景詳細については分りませんが、企業のリリース物はこんな風に色々想像できて結構楽しめます。

というわけで久々の英文オンラインニュースのネタですが、細々ながら読み続けています。

※別の話題：後ろの方しか見てませんが、今日はチェコのキーパーの手にやられました。(残念)
