managerのポジション [英語全般]
PART7演習をしていたところ、
manager＝役員クラスの人
として使っているケースがありました。
まあ、manageする人だからmanagerなのかもしれませんが、一般に日本の場合、
manager＝課長などミドルクラス
といったポジションだと思います。
でも辞書で確認してみると、
manager【名詞】【可算名詞】
1 a 支配人，経営者; 管理者; (銀行の)支店長; 部長，局長; 幹事，主事.
b(芸能人・興行団体などの)マネージャー，興行人.
c(スポーツチームなどの)監督，マネージャー.
2 [通例修飾語を伴って] やりくりをする人.
用例 a good [bad] manager 経済[やりくり]上手な[下手な]人.
3 [複数形で] 【英議会】 両院協議会委員.
となっています。
また、TOEICの場合、社長/役員クラスは、executive,directorあたりの単語を使って立場の違いを明確にしている場合が多いように思うのですが、ロングマンで調べてみると、

としてよいみたいです。
